Disney Channel gets boost from Harry Potter
Disney says its premium movie channel Disney Cinemagic has enjoyed record ratings since the launch of an HD feed in the UK market on December 1. In box-office terms, 2008 wasn't history, which is why everyone is so excited about 3-D. 2008 saw several movies released in the revived format and this year it looks set to take off. Hollywood looks to Harry Potter to stem decline
Hollywood studios are looking to big-budget sequels, including Harry Potter, to reverse this year's decline in movie attendance and ticket sales. Hollywood would probably have surpassed 2007's record if Warner Bros. hadn't changed the release date of the new Harry Potter film from November to July 2009. [more...]

Magazine releases some new Half-Blood Prince images
In the latest issue of Empire Magazine the biggest movies of 2009 are profiled including Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. In it, director David Yates says about the sixth film, "It's all storytelling. In all honestly, I do the same thing as I've always done. How safe are the last three Harry Potter films?
